The Doubletree Guest Suite by Hilton is the closest. Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica is also diagonally across from the block. Holiday Inn is also nearby.

There are tons of Hotels at reasonable rate in adjacent city of Santa Monica. Culver City, West Los Angeles & near LAX.

Santa Monica Civic Auditorium

It's only 3 blocks away from the Ocean. Santa Monica Pier is located just down the street from there. The Santa Monica Shopping Center is on the next block to the north. Very popular 3rd Street Promenade starts from adjacent street to the Mall. Our favorite place for the breakfast, Broadway Deli, is on the corner of Broadway and 3rd where the Promenade starts.

Sashimi isn't the only raw food any more. There is "Juliano's Raw" on 609 Broadway. You should give it a try. Call 310-587-1552.

Main Street is on the same block with SMCA and within walking distance. (If you like to walk.) Further down the street, it's Venice and the short street but plenty nice places to check is called Abbot Kinney.

Take a short drive and there is fabulous Montana Avenue. Our favorite Pet Shop and one of the longest existing knit shop will be found. It's an attractive street for sure.

Santa Monica is not too far from Brentwood or Beverly Hills, not to mention LAX. Down Town is only 15 miles or so away. i.e., it's a covenient location for visitors from far and near!

If you plan to visit the Getty Museum or LACMA, they have special programs through the season. So be sure to check it.

• Take I-10 Freeway West to the 4th/5th. St. Exit.
• Follow signs for 4th. St. & turn left on 4th. St. and go to third stoplight (Pico Blvd.).
